The purpose of this course is to study the basics of epidemiology that help students in applying these basics in research conduction. Moreover, the course identifies the role of epidemiology in measuring the occurrence of health related states among population and in evaluating the effectiveness of preventive programs and health care services. The course also helps in studying distribution and determinant risk factors of health problems.

        This course is designed to study human growth and development from birth through adulthood and to understand the varied and unique needs of children and adolescents.  The knowledge of the progression of human development and the factors which influence this development. Emphasis is placed on the progression of human development and its application on human behavior and maturation with related biological and psychosocial concepts
