دراسة وتحليل البناء الاجتماعي للمجتمع السعودي وأهم الأنساق الاجتماعية السائدة والتعرف على خصائص المجتمع الحضارية والثقافية والسكانية وعوامل التغير والتحديث التي أثرت على المجتمع السعودي ( السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية والتكنولوجية والاجتماعية) ودراسة التغير الاجتماعي للمجتمع السعودي وأهم مظاهرها والنتائج المترتبة عليها ومناقشة بعض الظواهر الاجتماعية والمشكلات السائدة.
ماهية علم الاجتماع من حيث نشأته وتطوره وعلاقته بالعلوم الاجتماعية الأخرى، وأبرز العلماء الذين اسهموا في قيام علم الاجتماع بصورته الحديثة، والتعرف على أهم النظريات في العلم وكيفية إجراء البحوث الاجتماعية عن طريق الاستعانة بتلك النظريات.

Objectives To determine the incidence of adverse drug events (ADEs) and assess their severity and preventability in four Saudi hospitals.
Design Prospective cohort study.
Setting The study included patients admitted to medical, surgical and intensive care units (ICUs) of four hospitals in Saudi Arabia. These hospitals include a 900-bed tertiary teaching hospital, a 400-bed private hospital, a 1400-bed large government hospital and a 350-bed small government hospital.
