The course aims to familiarize students with how to interpret data provided in a dictionary including (i) writing, (ii) speaking, (iii) grammar and (iv) semantic information. The course also helps students on how to use a dictionary for future translation, and it equips them with terms and notions required in further language and linguistic courses.  

The course is designed to teach students supersegmental units such as stress, tone…etc and their relation to meaning. The listening part aims to train students on paying attention to what they hear, practice quick storage of language and content in memory and speed in retrieving messages. The speaking component is set to develop students’ ability to speak fluently, focus on improving their pronunciation and expand their active vocabulary through use.  

Course Description
The course aims to build on previous students’ knowledge of basic grammatical rules. It high lights general grammatical component in constructing meaningful correct sentences. It then adds variety of rules to write more advanced sentences. The course is intended for upper-intermediate level that hosts students with good command of the English language.

Course Description:

The course is designed to cover all clinical disciplines in dentistry. It is offered during the fifth year and consists of one lecture and four clinical sessions per week throughout the academic year.

يشتمل المقرر على تعريف بالسنن الأربعة ومؤلفيها (سنن أبي داود، وسنن الترمذي، وسنن النسائي، وسنن ابن ماجه)، بالإضافة إلى سنن الدارمي، مع حفظ خمسة أحاديث من كل كتاب.

يعرف المقرر بالسنة النبوية ومكانتها في التشريع الإسلامي، ومراحل كتابتها وجمعها وتصنيفها، ويناقش أبرز الشبهات حولها. كما يقدم تعريفا مختصرا بالكتب الستة ومؤلفيها.
