Excessively redundant umbilical skin as a potential early clinical feature of Morquio syndrome and FKBP14-related Ehlers–Danlos syndrome

Several umbilical abnormalities have been linked to and utilized to aid in the clinical diagnosis of certain syndromes. For instance, umbilical skin redundancy has long been recognized as a core feature of Rieger syndrome although its association with other disorders is unknown. In this article, we report for the first time the occurrence of this distinct clinical sign in association with two other syndromes: Morquio syndrome and FKBP14-related Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (EDS).

Med Course 441

This course builds on the knowlede acquired from Med Course 341, and takes the students into a higher level of knowing the medical conditions in depth, with emphasis on diagnostic and therapeutic approach of the common and serious health problems.

Med Course 341

Med Course 341 is a medicine course given to third year students in the college of medicine. It prepares the students with the clinical knowledge and skills required to practice medicine. Students should be able by the end of the course to take history from and do physcial exam to the patients. The course is given over one year with weekly lectures and sessions.
