Experiment 1 : Food biotechnology techniques (Basic lab procedures, equipment’s, safety and food sampling and storage)
Experiment 2 :  Bioinformatics (Food pathogens related -genes, marker and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis using online tools  )
 
Nucleic Acids
Experiment 3 :  Genomic DNA isolation and purification from food samples
Experiment 4 :  Spectrophotometric Determination (DNA quantification and purity)

Opportunities: UG, PG and Ph.D dissertation/thesis work in In vitro drug screening and Nanobiotechnology

Interested master and Ph.D students from King Saud University campus are invited to do their research project work in vitro toxicological studies (cell death/apoptosis,oxidative stress related signaling and gene expression) of small molecules, engineering-, food-,personal care-, cosmetic- or agricultural-related nanomaterials  adopting mammalian cell and molecular biological techniques, fluorescent microscopy, flow-cytometry, real-time PCR work stations.
