Contact lens Clinics II  OPTO 433 (0 + 2   =  2 Credits)
 
In this clinical course, the student is required to continue to examine (and fill in case reports for) a minimum of ten routine patients (five each for regular soft and regular hard lenses) a week, in the external contact lens clinic run by the Optometry department.
 

Clinical Examination of the Visual System III  OPTO 323 (1 + 2   =  3 Credits)
 
In this third course of its series of clinical courses, slit-lamp biomicroscope examination of the posterior segment, Gonioscopy, tonometry, visual fields, Amsler grid, brightness and color comparison, exophthalmometry and pupil evaluation will be covered over ten weeks with one lecture hour and four hours of clinical practice per week.
 

يهدف المقرر إلى أستعراض الأدبيات العلمية القائمة على البحث العلمي والممارسة العملية لمعرفة المفاهيم والمبادئ الأساسية والعامة لأساليب التقييم والتشخيص في صورها المختلفة ومصادرها المتنوعة ، والنماذج النظرية لعمليات التقييم والتشخيص ، وما يدور في إطارها من خطوات واجراءات تطبيقية تسعى جميعها إلى الوقوف على طبيعة المشكلات المعرفية ، وما ينبثق عنها من مشكلات أكاديمية ، ولغوية ، وسلوكية ، واجتماعية ، ومهنية لدى الأفراد ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية ، وما يترتب على هذا الكشف من إجراءات تدخلية أخرى القصد منها إيجاد وتطوير البرامج المناسبة لكل حالة منفردة.
