Study of scientific strategies for the design of a complete chemical process plant through a design project. The project is carried out by a group of students (3-5).  The Design concerns major equipment used in a chemical plant (Heat exchangers, separations process units, reactors) as well as carrying out a complete economical study of the project, applying a hazop analysis, and implementing a control study in the selected process

This course is intended to provide an overview of the basic statistical concepts
. A course in statistics requires the student
to learn many new terms and concepts. This course lays the foundation necessary
for the understanding of basic statistical terms and concepts and the
role that statisticians play in promoting scientific discovery and wisdom.

This course deals mainly with the applications of chemical Engineering   thermodynamics to phenomena of interest in chemical engineering, such as flow system, expansion and compression processes, with emphasis on phase equilibrium in pure fluid and chemical-reaction equilibrium and thermodynamic analysis of process.
 A good understanding of the material in this course is essential for the study and understanding of chemical engineering.

problems which occur in the process industry (Chemical, Petrochemical, food, Pharmaceutials etc) It also gives an Introduction to the 3 modes of heat transfer :Conduction, convection c and radiation, heat transfer. Finally the course reviews heat transfer with phase change and describe heat exchangers and their design
