• Atomic structures and chemical bonding.
• -  Brief study of the classification, nomenclature, physical properties, synthesis and reactions of the following organic classes: Hydrocarbons, organic halides, alcohols, ethers, phenols, aldehydes,   ketones, carboxylic acid and derivatives.
•  Amines.
• Structures and properties of carbohydrates, fats and oils.

This course allows students to understand:

1) The basic biochemistry needed for higher level courses.

مقرر خاص بطالبات كلية الآداب ( سوى قسم اللغة العربية ) ويمكن دراسته بوصفه مادة حرة للتخصصات الأخرى 

يتضمن المقرر دروسا في اللغة  مثل التعريف ببعض الأساليب اللغوية كالتوكيد والنفي والقسم والتعريف ببعض المفاهيم كالدخيل والمعرب والمولد
