Medical Genetics

This course is given to all Third Year medical students throughout the academic year with two (2) credit hours lectures. The students are taught the basic imaging principles, radiological techniques, radiological anatomy, radiological findings in common diseases and role of various imaging modalities including Plain Film, Contrast Studies, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Isotope Imaging, Angiography & Interventional Radiology in patient management.

Maxillofacial Prosthetics is a subspecialty of Prosthodontics that involves rehabilitation of patients with defects or disabilities that were present when born or developed due to disease or trauma. Prostheses are often needed to replace missing areas of bone or tissue and restore oral functions such as swallowing, speech, and chewing. In other instances, a prosthesis for the face or body may be indicated for cosmetic and psychosocial reasons.
