Course Description:- Meteorological data; basic hydrological processes: precipitation, evaporation, transpiration, infiltration and runoff; stream flow; hydrograph theory and application; groundwater principles: aquifers, wells and intrusion in coastal areas; water resources planning: basic principles, water supply and demand, application in arid and semi-arid regions. Introduction to computer applications. Group project. 3 (3,1,0)

Course Description: Introduction to types of structural steel and steel structures. Concept of LRFD method. Strength and design of tension members with bolted and welded connections. Strength and design of columns, beams and beam-columns. Design of bolted and welded connection, splices, and column base plate. Analysis and design of roof trusses and frame structures.
