The crystal structure of the title compound, C₂₆H₃₉BO₂, which contains no strong hydrogen bond donors, displays only long C-HO contacts between inversion-related pairs of molecules. The structure contains layers rich in oxygen and boron parallel to the ac plane.

In the title structure, C8H6BrNS, the molecules are planar with the exception of the methyl H atoms. In the crystal, molecules are linked by intermolecular C—HN interactions to form ribbons parallel to the b axis.
