This course includes information about : nature of enzymes , units of enzyme activity and specificity, enzyme kinetics( Michaelis-Menten equation), enzyme inhibition, single and bi-substrate reactions, Allosteric enzymes,types of enzymatic catalysis,definition and classification of coenzymes, mechanism of enzyme catalysis, multimolecular form of enzymes, Isolation, purification, characterization of enzymes and criteria of purity of enzymes. It also includes  brief introduction to applications of free and immobilized enzymes in the food, and pharmaceutical industries and analytical and therapeutic applications of enzymes
