IT552 Big Data Analytics

This course covers two extremely important, and interrelated, emerging data management technologies: cloud computing and big data. You will analyze the reasons why cloud computing provides an attractive alternative to an on-site data center, and the technical and economic impacts of migrating to the cloud. You will also gain an appreciation of the challenges of managing vast quantities of structured and unstructured big data, and how organizations are trying to leverage big data stores via analytics for strategic decision-making.
