ENG 642: GENERATIVE PHONOLOGY (علم وظائف الأصوات التوليدي)

This course introduces students to phonemic and morphophonemic analysis, distinctive features, alternations, phonological rules and processes, rule-ordering, and formalization of underlying representation.  Most emphasis is placed on analyzing phonological data from a wide variety of languages.
