CE639 - Transportation Economics and Evaluation

The course will give students an overview of concepts in the transport economics and evaluation.
In lectures, the basic theory and some fundamental theoretical insights about
1) Transport system costs and benefits,
2) Engineering economic feasibility and evaluation methods,
3) Evaluation of congestion in transportation facilities,
4) Economic regulations in public and private transport sectors,
5) Shadow pricing,
6) Multi-objective evaluation, etc. will be explained.

Most of the course will be very theoretical and based on mathematical analysis. Hence, the course is intended for
- PhD students from related subfields of transportation who want an overview of transport economics and
- PhD students who need an introductory course in transport economics and evaluation.
