 Worked on Radio Resource Management aspects related to scheduling, routing, power control and relaying for LTE-Advanced networks. Learning network optimization softwares, e.g OPNET, and working on building a physical test-bed for real time LTE-A measurements.

 At the Electrical Engineering Department of COMSATS, I was responsible for delivering lectures to undergrad students in the area of Communications and supervision of Laboratory tasks. I have taught the courses of Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing and Digital Communication systems. I have also supervised student projects on wireless networking. I was the member of organizing team of 4th All Pakistan Digital Innovation Competition and Exhibition (DICE 2009) and served as reviewer for All Pakistan Technical Paper Competition (APTEC 2011), held at COMSATS Lahore, Pakistan.

 In UK, I worked on Agilent Wireless Communications Test Set 8960 which is used for Real time HSPA+, HSUPA, and HSDP measurements. I did Downlink/Uplink throughput measurements and performance tests for power control and handovers.

 Main duties included monitoring and analysis of the new site's key performance indicator (KPI) statistics to ensure optimal site performance, making & analyzing daily stats report, handling of customer complaints and suggesting RF solution for the resolution of complaints.

• LTE-System Training: Certification from in LTE Training. This 01 week training, held at King Saud University in Feb. 2012, included the complete understanding of LTE architecture, LTE Protocols and Procedures, EPS Network Architecture and Interfaces, EPC Protocols and Procedures, LTE Downlink and Uplink physical layer processing, LTE MAC Layer architecture, LTE Radio Interface Procedures, Quality of Service, LTE Cross System Procedures, LTE Interworking Considerations, Relays in LTE, LTE-A Introduction and Enhancements.

• Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) Workshop on 4G & Beyond 4G (B4G) Wireless

Networks: This 2 day workshop held at King Abdul Aziz Telecom Complex Riyadh on 12,13 May

2012 discussed the state of the art and challenges for B4G networks (LTE-A), related to Radio Access Network (RAN) Architectures, Radio Resource Management Techniques (RRM), and Physical Layer Technologies. The major contents included: (i)RRM, Interference management, mitigation, avoidance, cancellation, optimization framework, basic optimization techniques, power control , Inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC), Centralized versus distributed RRM techniques (ii) Relaying, Fixed versus terminal relaying (iii) Future B4G Cellular Applications, Integration of sensors , Healthcare, Machine-to-machine (M2M), Terminal Intelligence, User in the loop, Cognitive radio, Reflections on 5G and beyond.
