PHCL 434

PHCL 434 exposes students to the pathophysiology and clinical management of infectious diseases. This course reinforces foundational concepts of pharmacy practice and diseases covered in PHCL 412, 414, and PHCL 434, while completing a system-by-system review of the mechanisms of infectious diseases and their evidence-based prevention and treatment strategies. This course emphasizes pathophysiology, self-care, patient education, assessment, medication administration, management, and monitoring, as well as preventative health and population-based health outcomes.
