CLS 411 Clinical Bacteriology ( I )

The first part of this course deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of chemotherapeutic agents, their modes of  action, methods of evaluation, susceptibility testing , and mechanisms of microbial resistance.
The second part of the course describes the mechanisms of host parasite relationships, followed by a detailed study of the structure and physiology of Gram positive cocci and Gram negative cocci, the aerobic spore and non-spore forming bacilli, and the Mycobacteria.
