نبذة تعريفية / مختصر السيرة الذاتية

 

Abdullah Alsalman is a professor in Civil Engineering. He has an extensive and wide experience spanning more than 25 years in the fields of academic, educational and university administrative leadership, where he started in the KSU administration as a chairman of surveying engineering program, then he was appointed as the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Academic Affairs then became the Dean of Admissions and Registration and then he served as the Vice Rector for Academic and Educational Affairs. After that he was appointed as the Vice President of the KSU where he is currently responsible for all administrative, financial and technical affairs in addition to supervising the digital transformation at KSU. During his administrative and academic leadership, he accomplished several transformational academic and administrative initiatives and projects, including managing the transformation of KSU to the accrual accounting system that deals with a budget of more than SR 7 billion. He led a team that worked to change the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to be aligned with the fundamental transformations at KSU. He supervised the initiatives for diversifying investment opportunities and financial sustainability including KSU endowment, Riyadh Valley Company (RVC) and Revenue Development and Follow-up Unit. Also, he was responsible for the initiative to begin the KSU transformation into an independent non-profit institution. He led the unified electronic admissions project initiatives for the universities in Riyadh region. He worked as a chairman of the initiative committee to change and develop the new academic system to serve more than 100,000 students, and managed the Detailed CV 2 transfer and development of girls’ colleges in Riyadh region to KSU, while supervising the university branches in Riyadh region until they are converted into independent universities. In addition, he participated in the preparation and development of many bylaws, regulations and charters. He led the initiatives to establish the Center for Teaching and Learning to enhance the educational processes and the Center for Training and Cooperative Education. He developed the new bylaws, policies and procedures of the academic system and study plans at KSU. He led the initiative to achieve the ABET accreditation for the academic programs at the College of Engineering at KSU. In addition, he served in the field of his specialization as a part-time consultant in the Riyadh Municipality, and he was a member of many boards of directors at national level, and a member in the boards of trustees in many private universities.
