If colors do matter?

In Japan’s cutthroat fast-food market, Burger King is known to do things that “aren’t common sense.” In later part of 2014, they launched a new line of black burgers. The plain “Kuro Pearl” and the topping heavy “Kuro Diamond” both feature buns and cheese blackened by a bamboo wood fire. The sauce also includes a healthy dose of black squid ink. Kuro means black in Japanese.

McDonald's also followed with its own colored burgers, although company claimed that these are part of its Halloween marketing and don’t represent a response to Burger King’s offerings.
