NAJD 232: Language and Culture 2

Welcome back. I hope you had an enjoyable summer break. This semester, Fall 2016, I am teaching Language and Culture 2. The main goals of this course are:
1. Enhance students' understanding of culture as particular phenomena related to matters of ideology, nationality, ethnicity, social class and gender
2.Expand students' understanding of the idea that cultural studies mean the practices of everyday life.
3. Enable students to understand culture in all its complex forms and to analyze thesocial and  
    political context  in which culture manifests itself.
As of now, I have attached the weekly course syllable and the course booklet. Please download them or make a copy. Classes will start next week and attendance will be taken on the first day of class.
