نجد 182 - بناء المفردات 2 :

يهدف هذا المقرر إلى تنمية حصيلة الطلاب من المفردات و تزويدهم بمجموعة أساسية منها في موضوعات محددة وفقاً لمقتضيات تواصلية محددة. كما يتدرب الطلاب على كيفية استخدام هذه المفردات في تراكيب لغوية متصلة بموضوعات معينة. ويتم التركيز على طرق الاشتقاق من زوائد و سوابق و لواحق فضلاً عن الأفعال و الصفات و الأسماء و الإفراد و الجمع و المترادفات و الأضداد وغيرها، كما يتدرب الطلاب على طرقة تشكيل الكلمات و معرفة دلالاتها المختلفة و استخدامها في جمل و نصوص متنوعة. و تطبق التمارين التي من شأنها ترسيخ تلك المفردات في أذهان الطلاب.

 

NAJD 182 - VOCABULARY 2:

In Vocabulary 2 the focal point is Pronunciation: silent letter, hidden consonants, double letters, spelling changes, words with the same vowel but different pronunciation and words with different vowels but same pronunciation, syllabication and stress. Words commonly mispronounced homonyms and homophones. Spelling changes and spelling variants. The students should master part of speech, collective nouns, singular & plural forms. They are instructed in words that only occur in the plural. Synonyms and antonyms. Word formation: prefixes, suffixes, roots, derivatives, word families and compounds. They learn to use various kinds of idioms appropriately: describing people, feelings or mood; idioms connected with praise and criticism; idioms connected with using language; miscellaneous idioms expressions etc. They are taught to identify and expand standard acronyms and abbreviations; in addition to, unfamiliar words in English, American vs British usage, formal and informal words 1 U.S. English. They are made competent in domains like similes, binomials etc. and English and Arabic meanings of single words, phrases, idioms, and collocations. Using words, idioms and phrases in sentences.
